Do Silicone Inserts Work With Swimsuits
Going to the beach can be a daunting experience for small-breasted women, it always is for me as is finding the right swimwear that doesn't make me look completely flat-chested. So can silicone breast enhancers, our everyday confidence booster, be used with swimsuits?
I've not tried bra inserts with a swimsuit myself but while investigating the possibility of doing so, a few issues came to mind:
Regular, Non-adhesive Breast Enhancers
- If you were to use the regular, non-adhesive breast enhancers and place them in your swimsuit bra, would you be absolutely sure it wouldn't slip, even a little? After all, unlike everyday clothes, there is little there to cover them so there's more risk of exposing them.
- While the salty water wouldn't affect them - provided you wash them with soap first chance you get - the force of the waves or splash can certainly be forceful enough to displace them, causing potential embarrassment. However careful you may be, water can be your silicone-filled insert's worse enemy.
- Beach activities means sand can easily get underneath your bikini and bra. Sand could not only cause friction between your skin and the enhancer causing irritation if present but prolonged friction can cause damage to the plastic shell containing the silicone.
- No plastic product should be exposed to extreme temperatures so getting a tan with your inserts on may cause them damage.
Adhesive Swimsuit Enhancers
Seeing the need for bust enhancement on the beach, companies have come up with full, adhesive breast forms.
- The difference between regular and adhesive breast enhancers is how they stay in place. Adhesive enhancers use either special sticky tape or straps to keep themselves in place or roll-on glue. While this appears to solve the problem of breast-slipping while out in the sun, I'd have to be absolutely sure the glue is 100% water resistant.
- Sadly, apart from the stay-in-place mechanism, adhesive breast enhancers are prone to the same problems as regular silicone-filled pads.
I personally would not use breast enhancers with swim wear for two important reasons: they are not secure enough and they'd require constant attention, both of which can make going to the beach more of a chore than it should be.
