From Cheap To Luxury Bra Enhancers
I got my pair of silicone bra inserts for £30 (or around $60) but they are quite basic, though good. You can find enhancers for twice the price but what exactly do they have extra to justify the added expense?
- For starters, my silicone pads do not have built-in nipples. Seeing nipples through your evening gown or swimsuit can make you very attractive to some men. I for one, would not want permanent, prominent nipples that make me look like I'm cold all the time unless they behave like real ones and stay underneath clothes and lingerie.
- The more expensive bust enhancers also have a more realistic feel, being softer to the touch. On the other hand, most women use silicone bra padding for appearances only and many would not want someone touching their fake boobs at all.
- Luxury bra inserts also claim to bounce like real breasts do. While bouncing is related to how real the silione enhancers look and feel like, most smaller chested women would not feel comfortable with too much bouncing for fear of them slipping out.
- However secure inserts may be inside the bra, they'll always feel fake and make you pay extra attention when they move about. Bouncing that causes pads to slip may be more of an issue to 32AA or 34AA women than larger busted ladies.
- One important aspect of more expensive breast forms is warranty. While puncturing or leaking is a rare occurrence, silicone enhancers should have 1 or 2 year warranty, especially the more expensive ones.
- Given that silicone is, after all, a toxic substance, many manufacturers have come up with alternate liquid-like substances for use in breast enhancers. The difference in feel for liquid-filled cup forms may not be significant enough but if wearing pads filled with a toxic substance concerns you, it may justify the added cost.
- A number of women find that the plastic shell causes skin irritation and when hot, the bra pad can slip. I've come across several types of enhancers which use a special formula that prevents them from slipping or from causing irritation.
- Breasts come naturally in all shapes and sizes. Unfortunately, most companies make bra inserts in 2-3 shapes at most. Companies that do make more unusual sizes charge a premium.
All silicone breast enhancers, whether basic or more sophisticate share common features: they are and will always feel artificial but they are invisible so no one will know that you're wearing fake boobs underneath.
