Which Breast Enhancers Are Right For You?

Silicone breast enhancers are realistic breast forms made of a plastic shell and filled with silicone. Unlike implants, inserts are for external use with a bra. Used with the proper lingerie, they make your breasts look more shapely and full, whether you are an AA cup like myself or even a C or D cup.

The main reason silicone lingerie inserts are so popular is because they mould to your breasts and feel and look very realistic.

Bra enhancers currently come in three major types: push up inserts, full cup enhancers and adhesive bra cups.

Push Up Bra Inserts

These are by far the most popular bust enhancers. Usually shaped as half-moons, these bra shapers are ideal for women with smaller, but not very small busts (generally B and above). You basically insert them at the base of your bra and they push up the breast to give it fuller, more attractive cleavage.

Full Cup Enhancers

Full cup pads are basically full breast replicas for women with very small bust sizes (AA and A). This silicone enhancer covers the existing breast tissue giving you, generally, an extra cup size. Some companies make fuller enhancers that gain you up to two cups in size. I personally use regular, single full-cup enhancers. The reason push up bra inserts wouldn't work for petite women is that there's not much there to push up in the first place.

Both push up pads and full cup breast enhancers come in nude and transparent colours. Since the nude colour rarely matches your own skin tone, I recommend getting the transparent type.

Adhesive Bra Cups

Adhesive breasts are an innovative concept. They are no longer bra inserts as such because a bra is no longer needed. These silicone enhancers are kept in place by invisible straps or roll-on glue giving small-chested women the chance to use backless and strapless dresses. Unlike the previous two types, adhesive breast enhancers are suitable for women with any bust size. One of the most popular brands is Nu Bra (or NuBra).
